In the City’s northwest quadrant, development has begun, completely transforming the area. Along FM 528, construction on what will be Emmons Motor Company has started, and it is moving along quickly. The company began in South Houston in 1972 and is a family owned dealership that offers a wide variety of vehicles, with a price range of $15,000-20,000.
The business owned by four brothers, Gary, Harvey, Jerry, and Terry Emmons, is currently located in Pasadena. The decision to move to Webster was based on the fact that the business had outgrown its facility. Within the next year, the company plans to make the move to the Webster location, which will have a showroom, service center, detail center, and a body shop. Previously, Emmons Motor Company would use outside vendors for repairs. According to Harvey, the addition of a body shop at the new dealership will enhance customer experience with a quicker turnaround time.
The City of Webster is also anticipating the opening of Exclusive Furniture along the Gulf Fwy. The company is also family owned and operated, and currently, has six other stores in the Houston area. This project is a new construction plan that is estimated to take place on 43,000 square feet of land.
With the slogan, “Where low prices live,” Exclusive Furniture strives to be an affordable option for every family in Houston.
The City looks forward to having the new businesses open for residents and visitors!
