When a crisis threatens the community and every second counts, it is critical that the residents are quickly alerted to danger. Webster officials can issue evacuation orders, instruct people to shelter-in-place and more from the new Regroup Mass Notification program.
This program saves time and ensures that citizens have the ability to take steps to get out of harm’s way, said Webster Emergency Management Director Joe Ferro. By visiting the City’s website, cityofwebster.com, you can register for the emergency notifications. By registering you can receive notifications by email, text message, or phone call. Residents are urged to sign up as soon as possible.
The City also advises residents to create an emergency profile on 911.org. By spending a few minutes now, you can save critical seconds when a life is on the line. The Emergency profile gives emergency call-takers valuable information about you, your home, and your loved ones so that they can better help you. Residents can also sign up to receive emergency notifications from Harris County on 911.org.
The health and safety of the residents are important to the City. Sign up for these programs to make sure you are prepared for every emergency.
