Council Connect- Meet Marty Graves

Posted on December 20, 2016 at 5:24 PM by Katie Stamy

After 22 years of civic service, Donna Rogers was elected Mayor of Webster in May of 2014. Since then, she has continued to propel Webster forward.

She started as a City Council Member in 1995 and was elected Mayor in 2002. Following her term as Mayor, she held another Council Member Position before being elected Mayor again in 2014.

She pioneered the creation of the Webster Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) and has served as President since its inception in 1999. The WEDC has resulted in significant infrastructure projects, as well as numerous healthcare facilities, retail, dining, entertainment, and hospitality venues.

Aside from her role in city government, she has worked as the Marina Manager at South Shore Harbour for 30 years and has raised three sons, who she takes great pride in, along with her daughter-in-law and grandson.

Mayor Rogers has resided in Webster with her husband for over two decades and says her life has been centered around home, family, friends, and civic service.

She stated that her decision to run as Mayor in May 2014 was motivated by the fact that she loves the City of Webster and takes enormous pride in working on the community’s behalf.
