City Manager - Wayne Sabo
Wayne Sabo joined Webster as City Manager on February 11, 2008.
Sabo has more than three decades of leadership experience, including positions in the military, private industry, and municipal government. He served as city administrator for Manvel, as well as city planner and director of public services for Alvin. Sabo held the position of director of planning, engineering and community development in La Porte before joining Webster.
Throughout his career, Sabo has spearheaded the development of successful projects in geographical information systems, public safety, code enforcement, community development, zoning standards, and economic development.
In addition to being the Executive Director of the Webster Economic Development Corporation he serves his local community as the President of the Manvel Economic Development Corporation, Vice President of the Iowa Colony Zoning Board of Adjustment and Brazoria County Municipal Utility District No. 29. He holds a bachelor’s degree in urban development from the University of Illinois, masters degrees in management and police administration from Troy State University, as well as a master’s certificate in planning and operations from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. |
