Blossom Street Closure

Beginning September 9 & 10, 2010, City public works crew will close the eastbound lane of Blossom Street between Live Oak Street and Texas Ave.  Westbound traffic will be detoured onto Live Oak Street to Orchard Street and then to Texas Ave from Orchard Street.  The closure is necessary to repair cracks in the existing pavement.  The work is scheduled between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

 

 

El Camino Real Closure
Beginning August 9, 2010, CenterPoint Gas Company will close the outside lane of south bound traffic on El Camino Real between Gemini Avenue and El Camino Village Drive for two or three months. The closure is necessary to remove an existing gas line from the bridge structure and install a new gas line underground. The work is scheduled to be completed on or before October 15, 2010. Motorists can expect delays in the area until the work is completed. This work is part of the utility relocation required to allow Harris County to widen El Camino Real.
